Virginia Dare will highlight its expertise in flavor extracts and modulation through a range of application samples at IFT First.  

“We’re putting the spotlight on exciting flavors that can enhance the taste experience and product differentiation of trending applications like functional beverages, gummies, and zero-proof cocktails,” said Philip Caputo, Virginia Dare’s marketing and consumer insights manager. “Consumers inherently link certain flavors with certain health benefits they’re seeking. For example, citrusy flavors are a perfect fit for energy-forward applications with a focus on alertness.”

The samples will include:

• A salted caramel-flavored, ready-to-mix whey protein shake with no added sugar
• A ready-to-mix rainbow sherbert-flavored hydration stick pack featuring natural flavors, electrolytes from coconut water, and a blend of stevia and monk fruit
• A mixed-berry lemonade-flavored mushroom gummy with functional ingredients for cognitive support, cellular repair, and overall wellness
• A ready-to-drink apple honey green tea-flavored sparkling canned beverage featuring prebiotic fiber and probiotics
• A ready-to-drink alcohol-free bourbon, cola, and vanilla ice cream-flavored sparkling canned cocktail
• A mini chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream sandwich made with pure vanilla extract
